H:130cm (51.18in) W:60cm (23.62in) T:55cm (21.65in) This is a Song Dynasty wooden painted seated statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Carved from solid wood, it is decorated with lacquer and mineral pigments. The statue sits in lotus position on a double-layered lotus pedestal, supported by an auspicious beast (lion head) below. It wears an elaborate crown, is adorned with beaded necklaces, has flowing robe carvings and a compassionate, serene expression. Despite worn lacquer and colors over a millennium, it retains the Zen charm and divine aura of Guanyin, representing a classic form of Guanyin worship in Song Dynasty Chinese Buddhism, embodying the realistic style and exquisite craftsmanship of Song Dynasty wooden statues.

ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS, REFUNDS, OR CANCELLATIONS.
