The jue follows ancient bronze?jue prototype with twin posts, spout?tail, beast?form handle and three upright legs; interior covered in turquoise?green glaze. Exterior painted in rouge?pink enamel with vigorous dragon motif, bordered by key?fret and scrolling floral patterns; prominent edges, posts and handle highlighted with gilding. The matching stand has flared rim, interior decorated with rouge?enamel dragon above sea?wave?rockwork. Outer wall rendered in the ??hundred?flowers?on?ground?? famille?rose motif with dense profusion of blossoms. Three flower?shape feet support the dish. Base turquoise?green glazed, central gilded medallion bears underglaze?blue seal?script mark ??Qian?Long Nian Zhi??. Combining moulding, rouge enamel, gilding and dense famille?rose floral ground, the complex composite form represents high?level imperial ceremonial display porcelain of Qing court.
