Derived from Tibetan ritual vessel form, this tall duomu ewer features a flared curved spout opening, gilded beast?head spout and iron?red gilded beast?form handle, lavishly ornamented in court?style palette.Painted on white ground, the whole body is densely decorated with famille?rose scrolling lotus flowers, interspersed with multiple horizontal decorative bands of key?fret and floral brocade outlined in gilding. Multiple shaped reserve panels are inset on the surface, depicting European noble figures and western landscape with buildings, rendered with fine detail on costumes, facial features and scenery, representing the fashionable western?themed painting favoured by Qing court. Ornamentation on rim, body and foot is meticulously arranged, combining foreign?style enamel painting, gilding and sculpted porcelain techniques, fully reflecting the opulent aesthetic of Qianlong era.Tall in stature, densely ornamented with integrated Sino?western motifs, fine body?glaze and sophisticated painting, it stands as a representative imperial duomu ewer of Qianlong period.
