Height:10cm(3.94in), Width:18cm(7.09in)Distinctively?shaped teapot with monk?cap?style cover painted with gilded tile?weave pattern on iron?red ground, outlined in gilding. The spout and annular handle are decorated with gilded scroll florals and key?fret patterns on iron?red ground with gilded rims. The cylindrical body is painted in famille?rose with eighteen arhats treading on swirling clouds, each holding ritual implements in varied postures. Figures are finely rendered with elaborate robes and expressive faces against layered cloud backgrounds. The lower body is ornamented with gilded geometric brocade pattern on iron?red ground. Base covered with crackled turquoise?green glaze, inscribed in blue enamel with cyclic ??Qian Long Nian Zhi?? mark. Integrating iron?red, gilding and famille?rose enamels with Buddhist arhat theme, it is an ingenious imperial tea?ware of Qianlong reign.
