The entire surface is laid on gilded ground, decorated in high relief with intertwined gourd vines and multi?colored gourd fruits amid luxuriant foliage, symbolizing endless blessings and prosperity. Circular medallions on upper and lower gourd sections bear relief?carved Chinese characters ??Da?? and ??Ji?? (Great Auspiciousness), framed by scroll and key?fret borders. Ruyi?head, key?fret and lotus?petal famille?rose borders with gilded outlines adorn the mouth, waist and foot. Base covered with crackled turquoise?green glaze, bearing incised and gilded six?character square seal mark ??Da Qing Qian Long Nian Zhi??. Integrating deep relief moulding, gilded ground, famille?rose enamels and gilding, it is an auspicious grand imperial display porcelain of Qianlong reign.
