Height:30cm(11.81in), Diameter:33cm(12.99in)This grand Yuan?style jar has wide mouth, short neck, full rounded shoulder and tapering lower body supported by broad foot ring. The rim is decorated with ocean?wave pattern. Shoulder is densely covered by scrolling peony blooms with luxuriant foliage. The main body illustrates the well?known historical tale ??Zhou Yafu at Xiliu Camp??, complete with inscribed banner, warriors, soldiers, horses, plantains, trees and rocks. Figures are vividly rendered with distinct demeanors, presenting multi?layered narrative composition. The lower part is encircled by stylized lotus?petal band. The cobalt?blue is rich and intense, creating sharp contrast against white glaze, painted with bold, seasoned brushwork and dense layout. The unglazed sandy base has thick robust body, bearing earth patina and age?related wear with partial glaze chipping. Yuan blue?and?white narrative?figure jars are extremely rare. This well?preserved example with identifiable historical theme ranks as a highly valuable Yuan porcelain masterpiece.
