Description
Height:24cm(9.45in) Width:5.5cm(2.17in) Weight:645g(1.422lb)This bronze dragon-shaped belt hook belongs to the Warring States Period. The hook head is carved as a dragon head. The body is openwork carved, decorated with interwoven dragon and tiger patterns. Gold inlay delineates the texture and scales of beasts. The surface is densely inlaid with turquoise, accented by red agate beads, presenting magnificent colours. A circular fastening button is set on the reverse, with gold-inlaid inscriptions at the tail. The bronze has thick patina and naturally layered rust. It integrates casting, gold inlay and gemstone inlay techniques. As a noble waist ornament of the Warring States, this large and elaborately decorated piece ranks among the finest surviving bronze belt hooks
