Height:9.5cm(3.74in) Width:3cm(1.18in) Weight:695g(1.532lb)This lot consists of a matched pair of jade ewers carved from Hetian jade, naturally covered with varied ancient patina. Each ewer has a domed lid with knobs, contracted mouth and bulging belly, fitted with a ring handle on one side and splayed ring foot. The surface is decorated with gold and silver inlaid vivid dragon and phoenix motifs accompanied by cloud scrolls, inlaid with red and blue gemstones as ornament. The interior is smoothly polished. Well-preserved as an original pair, they represent magnificent jade works with gold inlay of Han imperial craftsmanship.
