Height:5.2cm(2.05in) Width:4.6cm(1.81in) Weight:45g(0.099lb)Carved from yellow jade, this jade swallow bears natural reddish-brown russet spreading naturally along the wing edges, with mellow and aged patina. It is concisely shaped as a diving flying bird. Grid patterns are carved on its back, with bright turquoise inlaid inside each grid with neat craftsmanship. Perforations are drilled on the back for threading and wearing. Swallows symbolized vitality and migration in ancient times. It is a high-grade jade pendant of Shang Dynasty, a classic example of turquoise-inlaid jade, rarely handed down.
