Height:11cm(4.33in) Width:5.5cm(2.17in) Weight:145g(0.320lb)This pendant is carved from Hetian white jade of Han Dynasty, with lustrous texture and natural reddish-brown patina penetrating deep into the jade. It is crafted in high relief and openwork. The large chi dragon coils and twists, while the small one clings to its body, presenting vivid postures with powerful and flowing lines. Turquoise is inlaid on the dragon body as ornaments. Chi dragon was a popular motif in Han Dynasty, symbolizing protection and auspiciousness. Integrating openwork, high relief and gem inlay techniques, it is a superb jade work of Han period.
