The porcelain ring is cylindrical with solid body and soft white glaze. A vigorous dragon roaming among clouds is painted in rich cobalt blue on exterior with vivid brushwork. The rim is neatly polished, the base shows raw clay with natural patina, it is a typical Qing scholar??s ornament. The matching glass box is made of translucent sapphire-blue glass, delicately engraved with blooming peony blossoms, and the bottom bears seal script ??Qianlong Nian Zhi??. The carving is refined. Preserved as a full set, combining porcelain and glass craft, it is a fine antique imperial-style collectible of Qing Dynasty.
