Height:28cm(11.02in), Diameter:19cm(7.48in)Wide flared dish?shaped mouth, sturdy neck, full shoulders, bulbous body tapering toward the ring foot, presenting a stately and substantial silhouette. The whole exterior is covered in brilliant ruby?red glaze, with gilded rim. The body is decorated with continuous famille?rose painting: colourful golden pheasants perch upon rockwork, plum blossoms bloom on branches, various birds alight and interact amid luxuriant seasonal flowers. Rich layered pigments and meticulous brushwork convey the auspicious theme of prosperity and nobility. White?glazed base bears underglaze?blue six?character three?line seal?script mark ??Da?Qing Qian?Long Nian?Zhi??. Magnificent in colour and refined in painting, this is a major famille?rose display vessel of the Qianlong reign.
