Height:43cm(16.93in), Diameter:26cm(10.24in)A large display vase of late Qing period. Flared rim, constricted neck, full shoulder, bulbous body and raised foot. Two moulded blue?glazed beast?head ring handles are set on shoulders, rim dressed with brown?yellow glaze. Decorated in qiangjiang?cai palette on white glaze ground: gnarled plum branches with pink blossoms, bamboo leaves and a bright?plumaged songbird perched on twig, accompanied by pine foliage. Executed in free?scholar?painting style with soft muted tones. Unglazed foot rim shows aged body texture, plain white?glazed base without mark. Natural patina accumulated through age, a grand domestic hall?display vessel.
