The whole body is covered with smooth, even tea?dust glaze. Jar and lid are fully painted with famille?rose magpies?on?plum?blossom scene. Gnarled plum branches are laden with pink blossoms, twelve magpies perch among twigs in varied postures, symbolizing twelve blessings. Rocks, bamboo and flowers enrich the composition. Foot shows exposed body paste, base retains tea?dust glaze with gilded square seal ??Qian Long Nian Zhi??. The restrained glaze contrasts vividly with bright enamels, making it an imperial Qianlong
