Antique painting on silk portraying a young couple trying to figure out on the most auspicious day to get married, with help of a rather imposing Intermediary, which was the way things were done back then.
Simple interior with the 3 figures, and a landscape painting in the back ground - with a tiger!
This old painting is protected under glass, mineral paint on silk, gold/gilt card surround with original dark brown wood frame.
Brass Chinoiserie hanger / hook with original typed description on verso, provenance.
A nice bit of history for your wall or a gift to someone getting married now.
