A small, rich yet quirky abstract painting by Virginia Artist Roderick Coles, performed on rough masonite board and framed in a simple and sleek black and silver gallery floater frame. The narrative work titled, "nightbirds guard the weather balloons", is composed and performed with plaster, acrylic, oil paint and pastels. A strange and moody place inside this work. It will keep you looking.
