Painted from life, this landscape captures the light, atmosphere, and spirit of the moment. Each brushstroke reflects the experience of standing in nature and responding to it in real time.
Lorie Batson

Lorie Batson~ is a highly accomplished oil and pastel artist, celebrated for her ability to capture the spirit of the West. She is a member of the Plein Air Artists of New Mexico, a signature member of the Plein Air Artists of Colorado and a proud member of The Cowgirl Artists of America. Her work beautifully portrays outdoor scenes with rich authenticity and depth.

I love working with Lorie Batson who is an amazing local artist of Westcliffe, Co. Together we create beautiful, art work and bring our creative visions together.
Being able to frame Lorie's artwork and add my own creative touch has been such an amazing experience. Together, we're not just creating beautiful pieces-we're blending our styles and the spirit of our Westcliffe community.

The Storm Has Arrived is beautifully framed in a coastal blue and walnut patina wood, mounted on a metal patina backing. The layered textures and tones echo the movement and mood of the painting, creating a striking, one-of-a-kind art piece.
Angela Camarillo

Flying Lead Designs~ in the workshop, I've been crafting unique, one-of-a-kind frames that elevate each piece of art. My passion for repurposing and sustainability leads me on adventures hunting for vintage treasurers, gathering Western belts, belt buckles, conchos, cowhide and barn wood -all of which come together in distinctive, handcrafted frames. These designs merge Western charm, craftsmanship, and eco-conscious creativity.
