Antique Finnish Herbarium - Siberian Pea Tree, Circa 1911

Description

Caragana arborescens, commonly known as the Siberian Pea Tree, is a hardy flowering shrub known for its small yellow blossoms and delicate compound leaves. Native to colder regions of Asia and long cultivated in European botanical gardens, it was often collected as a specimen of interest for study and preservation.

This antique herbarium specimen has been carefully pressed and preserved on antique paper that carries the warmth and character of age. The sheet shows minimal foxing and light subtle creases at the edge that add to the charm of the piece reflecting its long history and quiet charm.
