The exploration of color and surface. Layered with various colors and medium, the painting surface was heavily worked and distressed, giving it a marvelous surface texture. The artist was exploring the depth of color and tactile surface, so that captures and holds the viewers eye. This brutalist style abstract painting is a departure from the artist typical genre of work, which can be seen by selecting the button below. This is an original painting on a gallery wrapped canvas, signed by the artist on the lower left.
