Description
Fabulous 1978 Larry Gray original one-of-a-kind atmospheric landscape dry pigment and pastel painting on wove paper. Signed and dated by the artist in the lower right.
The painting like most of his artwork captures an atmospheric landscape, a small amount of land at the bottom, and a huge expanse of moody sky. It gives us a sense of mystery, maybe even hopefulness or foreboding.
Gray's artworks are not of specific places; they are composites. His works focus on the interplay of color and light in cloud formations.
This artwork is housed in a gallery-quality frame, an off-white linen matting, walnut wood with water gilded front, and plexiglass. This layering technique enhances the visual appeal of the painting by adding depth and drawing the viewer's eye towards the artwork.
The painting is characterized by its subtle pastel tones, a breathtaking artwork of collectible art.
