Description
Robert Lawson was born in New Orleans, studied in New York and eventually settled in California. His abstract style is beautifully exemplified by this original oil painting measuring 41x41" in its original frame which my mother purchased from Macy's in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1970s. The forms are reminiscent of waves or lava. The painting is in excellent condition, with some notable deterioration to the frame, especially on the corners.
