Provenance - Acquired from the author in Prague after the 1955 exhibition. Later private collection, Prague. Ram Kumar visited Prague in 1955 on his way back from Helsinki, where he had participated in the World Peace Congress. This was his debut exhibition in the city, held at the National Museum. The show was a great success, and one of his paintings, 'The Sad City', was officially acquired for the museum's collection."
