This listing is for a vintage pastel portrait of a small dog, possibly a sheltie mix, rendered with expressive brushwork and warm, natural tones. Signed by the artist J. Buff Pratt in the lower corner. The artist captures the dog's soulful eyes and textured fur with realism.

Executed in pastel on paper, this piece dates to the mid-20th century (circa 1960s-1980s), a period when commissioned pet portraits were popular in American homes.
