Description
Sweet mid century era watercolor painting depicting daily life at the town square of perhaps a fictional French village. Charming street scene showing locals walking around with a cafe, hotel and various shops in the background. In good condition with some visible wear. The frame has some chipping that can definitely be touched up with paint if desired. The artwork itself has tiny white paint specks scattered and a couple of smudges although the specks are not terribly noticeable from afar. The bottom right corner has a mark that appears to be the artist's signature but I can't make out what it says. My best guess is this painting was done in the 50s or 60s or perhaps even as early as the 1940s. A great vintage piece for any cafe, restaurant, apartment building lobby or of course any home.
