Original art for parrot and bird lovers! "Happily Feather After" is a painting of a salmon crested cockatoo done in a "Modern Chinoiserie" style. The parrot's feathers are intricately painted with hundreds of soft pink brushstrokes and a gorgeous black beak. The tiny lines that detail this pink cockatoo's face can only truly be appreciated in person and up close!

Salmon crested cockatoos are also known as Moluccan cockatoos. They are some of the loudest of all birds and the female is generally larger than the male. Most live in Indonesia and Hawaii. They can no longer be imported to the US because this cockatoo is protected by the Wild Bird Conservation Act.

"Happily Feather After" has a joyful green background with a decorative chinoiserie floral design. The design swirls on top of another lighter design painted in white that resembles the spots of an antelope fur.

Artist Allison Cosmos also has a fondness for rare, endangered and colorful birds. This art piece is part of a 12 piece series of parrot paintings.

Unframed, "Happily Feather After" is acrylic on wood. This original work of art measures 20'' X 20'' and is signed by the artist Allison Cosmos.
