This lot features a vintage 1978 Topps football trading card showcasing dual-threat quarterback Steve Grogan of the New York Giants—though pictured here during his long-standing tenure with the New England Patriots. Famous for his tough playing style and setting the single-season quarterback rushing touchdown record in 1976, Grogan is captured in a classic stadium headshot donning his retro red Patriots uniform and white helmet. The card highlights the distinctive, classic design framework of the 1978 Topps set, which features a curved blue and yellow banner across the top displaying the "Patriots" team name alongside a yellow "QB" position circle. This authentic piece of gridiron history serves as a spectacular option for vintage sports card collectors, set builders, or dedicated fans of New England football history.
