This lot features a vintage 1987 Topps football trading card titled "Hebert Fakes Handoff," which serves as the team leaders card for the New Orleans Saints. The action photo captures starting quarterback Bobby Hebert (#3) executing a slick play-action fake in the backfield alongside running back Rueben Mayes (#36) during the franchise's historic 1987 winning season. Styled with the hallmark aesthetic of the 1987 set, it integrates a prominent retro gold "Saints" team banner on the left margin paired with the bold playheadline across the top border. This vintage piece of gridiron history stands as an outstanding addition for dedicated football set builders, team history enthusiasts, or collectors of classic 1980s sports memorabilia.
