A 5.82-carat oval sapphire sits at the center of a radiating sunburst halo. The sunburst arrangement spreads the accents outward rather than ringing the stone evenly, which projects the sapphire visually well beyond its own diameter. At nearly six carats the blue has the mass to hold that frame without being overwhelmed by it.
