He was a designer of unsurpassed ingenuity and delicacy. He turned out a profusion of jeweled flowers in rock-crystal pots, enameled cigarette cases, desk sets in multicolored gold, silver and platinum, gold sedan chairs and coronation coaches, along with the royal Easter eggs.
