Decorative four-panel room divider featuring hand-applied lacquer and intricate mother-of-pearl inlay depicting cranes, birds, florals, and landscape scenes. The front panels showcase richly detailed figural and botanical compositions set against deep lacquered grounds, while the reverse displays elegant hand-painted gilt botanical motifs on a black lacquer background.

The luminous inlay work captures light beautifully and highlights the craftsmanship involved in the layered shell detailing. Hinged panels allow for flexible configuration, making this screen ideal as a room divider, backdrop, or statement decorative element in a living space, bedroom, or retail setting.

The screen shows visible wear consistent with age and use, including areas of surface wear, losses, and some broken or missing inlay elements, as shown in photos. These imperfections do not detract from its visual impact and offer an excellent opportunity for conservation or artistic restoration. A striking piece with strong presence and decorative appeal, particularly well suited for collectors or designers seeking character-rich accents.
