Original graphite pencil drawing by American artist and illustrator Theodore E. Schrock (1879-1952), depicting a bundled young child standing in a snowy landscape while a playful dog jumps up beside them. Schrock was known for finely rendered figurative and narrative illustrations, particularly sensitive portrayals of children, family life, and storybook subjects. His work reflects the polished draftsmanship and expressive realism associated with early 20th-century American commercial illustration.

The drawing is unsigned and executed on paper. A pencil notation reading "REVERSE" appears along the lower margin, indicating this may have been a production or layout illustration prepared for commercial publication. The carefully modeled figures, detailed tonal shading, expressive facial features, and winter scene suggest the work may have been created for a book, magazine, advertising, or other commercial illustration project, although the original publication or intended use has not been identified.
