Original watercolor on paper by Henry Emil Salloch, also known as Heinz Emil
Salloch, the German-born American artist and graphic designer who emigrated to the United
States in 1937. This unframed work depicts a vast mountain landscape featuring ridges under a moody, cloud-filled sky at Lion Head Trail. Signed at the bottom left and dated 1954.
The sheet measures approximately 15'' X 20''. Condition is vintage and unrestored, with light toning. Sold unframed.
A strong example of Salloch's mid-century landscape work, with fluid ink line and transparent
watercolor washes.
