Fine Art Deco floor screen by a significant American Art Deco artist, Boris Lovet-Lorski ( 1894-1973). A unique and singular artwork from the studio. This screen was created for his good friend Doris Duke and used at her NewJersy Estate. Sourced from her estate sale in 2009 by Milea Auction. The subject is Lovet-Lorski's Deco head and flanked by neo-classical Hippogriffs all in a Deco framework. The screen is constructed in three panels with canvas and wooden stretchers, hinged to move on canvas hinges, and the corner and edges are covered in canvas. Painted architectural panels. The size is 21" by 68" for each panel and overall 63" by 68" shown flattened against the wall.
