The first to Honorable Arthur Capper, United States Senate, April 13, 1939, from Walter Winchell, thanking Capper for his letter about Winchell's anti-War editorial, and requesting it be recommended for the record. The second telegram to Walter Winchell from Sam D. McReynolds, Chairman Committee on Foreign Affairs, April 17, 1939; inviting Winchell to present his views to The Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives. Both with some edge/corner loss. 2.) CONGRESSIONAL RECORDS PUBLICATIONS. Three editions mostly intact (some detached pages): March 4, 1942; March 27, 1944; April 20, 1944, together with loose pages, and assorted clippings. 3.) TESTIMONY OF DR. HERIBERT VON STREMPEL, at Oberursel, Germany, February 1946. Period copy/carbon of Document No. 3800 PS Office of US Chief of Counsel. Questions by Captain Sam Harris. 44 stapled pages. 4.) CLIPPINGS/EPHEMERA. A box of unsorted 1940s newspaper pages, clippings, and misc. ephemera. Also includes three copies of an issue of Broun's Nutmeg, September 2, 1939, which features Heywood Broun's article, "The Inside Story of Lepke and Mr. Walter Winchell." Together with Life magazine, January 20, 1941, which includes article: "The Ism of Appeasement: Roosevelt Brands Foes of His Foreign Policy"; and Radio Guide magazine, Friday, November 3, 1939, featuring article "What Can We Believe?" on propaganda.
