Charming handcolored antique copper plate fashion engraving of an elegant man titled "Homme de Qualite en Robe de Chambre" who appears as a noble gentleman in his night clothes. Artist's signature is written in older French, "se vend a Paris, chez BEREY, Graveur...Avec Privelege du Roy", as indicated by the spelling of "Roy" instead of the current usage form, "Roi." Minor wear, bits of tape on reverse side. Unusual and atypical in that this fashion engraving is of men's fashion, rather than women's.
