This lot features a vintage 1966 Topps #117 Jake Gibbs trading card spotlighting the New York Yankees catcher. The crisp front image captures Gibbs crouched on the diamond in a catcher's squat, extending his large leather Rawlings mitt directly toward the camera. He is clad in the iconic Yankees white home pinstripe uniform and a dark team cap decorated with the classic white interlocking "NY" logo. Adhering to the standard 1966 Topps set formatting, a vibrant red diagonal banner slants across the upper left corner showcasing the team name "YANKEES," which coordinates seamlessly with a solid red lower nameplate bar identifying his name in bold yellow and his position text as "JAKE GIBBS catcher."
