Elnathan Taber Roxbury case tall clock with original handwritten set-up label signed by Taber, circa 1790. The moon phase dial with calendar wheel and seconds bit is signed Warranted by E. Taber. The case in rich old surface with traditional Roxbury fret, brass stop fluted columns, quarter fans in the pendulum door and base on cuffed ogee bracket feet. Time and strike movement with dial false plate, tin can weights and brass capped pendulum. Right fret work old restoration, several foot facings repaired, tips of two finials missing. Height 90 in, width 20 in, depth 11 in.
