Fine quality antique Bugis-Bima/Sumbawa silver and ruby keris. Elaborate Indonesian 9-luk keris, attributed to the Bugis?Bima/Sumbawa tradition. Finely forged pamor blade fitted with a silver bird-form hilt densely set with numerous pink rubies. Richly chased silver-clad scabbard with scrolling floral decoration and carved hardwood wrangka. Expected age-related wear and losses to several stones. Overall 21 1/4 in.; blade 14 1/2 in.
