He is known for his landscapes and still life paintings, often in an Impressionist or Post-Impressionist style. This specific painting depicts a scene in Paris, France, in 1971, featuring a Seine River bridge. Yamashita is known to have painted various scenes of Paris, including Montmartre and the Seine, as well as locations in Italy, Greece (Santorini), and Spain.
