Louis Icart (1888-1950) is one of Frances foremost Art Deco artists achieving financial and artistic success in France and America. He was a painter, a graphic artist, and an illustrator. His depictions of women were mostly sensual and reflective of the glamour, high style and fashion of the era. This work entitled "On the Divan" (1926) is a copper plated etching with hints of both yellow and blue aquatint and is framed in appropriately ornate gold. Framed size:18"w x 22"h
