Painting # 141004 by Van Bankston, a large scale abstract color field painting, has high visual impact due to the saturated colors. Shapes and lines suggest both vertical and horizontal movement. Complimentary shades of red and green are stabilized by dark blue and teal. Soft edges and gessoed textured canvas are contemplative. Framing is not required, having clean canvas edges. The painting is signed on the back.

"I hope my art encourages the viewer to stop, pause, and take a breath. My art is an invitation to the pleasure of the present moment through the qualities of color, balance, line, form, and texture for a lifegiving and empowering experience."
