This painting by Van Bankston is a sublime asymmetrical ordering of intensely rich colors: dark blue, reddish-orange, and greenish yellow. What seems to be haphazard fields of color, together create a balanced composition offering a visual respite while introducing excitement. The textured surface of the canvas offers another level of interest and contemplation. This harmonious painting speaks loudly for attention without being overbearing.
The painting is signed on the back. Framing is not required, having clean canvas edges.

"I hope my art encourages the viewer to stop, pause, and take a breath. My art is an invitation to the pleasure of the present moment through the qualities of color, balance, line, form, and texture for a lifegiving and empowering experience."
