Whimsical and full of character, this framed black and white dog illustration captures the effortless Palm Beach charm of the 1950's.

Titled "About Face," the drawing humorously plays on the classic military command, cleverly mirrored in a playful obedience scene between two dogs - a shaggy terrier mid-pivot under the firm gaze of a determined toy breed companion. Rendered in charcoal and pencil with fine black and white detail, the drawing features charming midcentury interior elements, including framed artwork, a small cabinet, and wood flooring, adding to its nostalgic warmth. Signed lower right and professionally framed in black painted wood under glass, it is ready to bring character, humor, and heart to any space.

Italian born artist Vincenzo Zito, known for his sharp wit, offers a choice of fitting titles for the piece, "Spring" and "About, Face" - each adding a playful twist to this captivating illustration.

A beloved figure in Palm Beach's social circles during the 1950s and 1960s, Zito was known for his whimsical drawings that captured the leisurely, carefree spirit of the era in this iconic resort town. This original piece highlights Zito's talent for blending detailed observation with lighthearted storytelling.
