Beautiful original oil on canvas painting, 'Racing Alerions' painted in July 2000 and signed by noted artist Forrest Rodts. 23-carat gold museum frame, measures 30.75" high x 24.75" wide x 2.75" deep (border of frame is approx 4" wide to image ; if unframed, the canvas measures 25" x 31"). Stunning colors and detail. This painting depicts 2 racing sloops / sailboats in the ocean, with beach and woodlands in the background. Probably the New England coast, possibly off the island of Nantucket. Painting is in perfect original condition from a non-smoker home and is being sold ready to hang. Cavalier Galleries estimated the fair market value of this painting in Feb 2022 at $34,000. Can ship anywhere at buyers expense; shipping cost shown ($1000) is a pure guesstimate ... final cost to ship this piece will depend in part on the buyer's choice of shipper and the amount of in-transit insurance coverage desired by buyer, if any.

The wooden frame has minor nick(s) on grey painted edge which are not visible when viewing the painting. See photos. Non-smoking home. (note : this is not a piece of George Smith furniture. Chairish drop-down menu does not include this artist, and would not allow manual entry of the artist, so I selected George smith because this artwork was in a room filled with George Smith furniture)
