Love Letters in Flight: Messenger is an original 12 x 16 inch acrylic painting on wood panel by Memphis-based artist Dorothy Collier of Dorothy Art. Rich with narrative charm and romantic symbolism, this piece features a blue messenger bird flying with blue flowers , an evocative nod to timeless love notes and whispered secrets.

Inspired by the elegance of Cinderella, the refined romance of Bridgerton, and the nostalgic sweetness of vintage greeting cards, this painting blends fairytale whimsy with heirloom sensibility. The soft, painterly brushwork and pastel palette create a dreamy, storybook quality, while the composition feels both classic and playfully modern.

Executed in acrylic on a 2-inch deep gallery-wrapped wood panel, the sides are fully painted, allowing the piece to be displayed unframed for a clean, elevated look. The artwork is signed by the artist and wired for easy hanging.

A perfect addition for collectors of romantic, maximalist, or vintage-inspired interiors, this piece brings a sense of charm, storytelling, and feminine nostalgia to any space, ideal for a gallery wall, bedroom, or collected vignette.
