Antoni Clave, (1913-2005) was a Catalan master painter, printmaker, sculptor, stage designer and costume designer and one of Spain's best known and most celebrated artists. Throughout his career, his work went from Baroque to minimal to abstract ultimately using collage to explore color, shading and texture in his work. He trained at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, where he was studied with Angel Ferrant and Felix Mestres and was influenced by Bonnard, Vuillard and Rouault. Presented in gold and black vintage frame with silk mat.
