Repost from a previous auction. This one didn't hit the reserve, so running it again. Scarcer Carson City Dime! This is a CC over CC, overmintmark! From NGC: 1876 CC DDR TYPE 1 REV VP-003 10C MS NGC Attribution: VP-003. Cross Reference: Fortin: F-108a. Greer: G-102 Diagnostics: Doubling is plainly evident in letters E of ONE and DIME. It's likely that this die represents a Type 2 reverse hubbed over a Type 1. The coin itself looks like a sea salvage coin.
