A vintage porcelain sauce boat made in Belgium, circa 1900. White china is finished with a luscious glossy glaze, elevating the superior form and subtle vintage patina of this finely crafted table piece. The delicate contour and out-turned lip of the sauceboat suggests an organic shape, a tulip; beneath, a matching ceramic saucer with raised edges provides an elegant base. Easily lifted and passed with a curving handle, the dynamic asymmetry marries form with function.
