Description
This striking glazed stoneware sculpture by Swedish ceramist Bengt W. Larsson captures the artist's playful yet refined approach to form and glaze. Hand-thrown and finished in a rich, glossy green, the piece takes the shape of a large stylized apple with a sculpted branch and leaf detail at the stem. Measuring approximately 13" H x 9" D, it makes an elegant statement centerpiece with classic Scandinavian simplicity. Signed "Bengt W Larsson" beneath, the work reflects the craftsmanship of Larsson's Soderkoping studio, known for its organic forms and luminous glazes. Condition is very good overall with light surface wear and a loose but intact branch and leaf, consistent with age and handling. A beautiful example of mid- to late-century Swedish studio ceramics-equally suited to collectors of Scandinavian design or anyone seeking a distinctive sculptural accent.

The branch and leaf detail are present but sit slightly loose, with evidence of a prior small repair or mending at the attachment point. No visible cracks or structural damage to the main body. Presents beautifully - a well-preserved and substantial example of Larsson's ceramic work.
