A glamorous, design-ready set of four vintage 1970s modernist bar-height stools, manufactured by the prominent California maker Cal-Style Furniture. Sourced from a private collection. Please note that the listed price is for the complete set of four.
This striking set features the iconic, clean-lined cantilevered silhouette popularized by design pioneer Milo Baughman. Each stool is constructed with a heavy, highly durable tubular steel frame finished in a bright, polished chrome coat that offers a wonderful floating, Space Age visual effect. The geometric bases provide exceptional structural stability while maintaining a sleek, airy, minimalist aesthetic that effortlessly pairs with modern kitchen islands or contemporary home bar lounges.
Condition & Reupholstery Note:
The tubular chrome frames are structurally excellent, solid, and completely stable. The chrome retains its high-gloss finish with only age-appropriate surface marks and faint pitting that warrants polishing prior to reupholstery. The upholstered seats are worn and mismatched even though they came from the same estate. Because the seat pads easily unscrew directly from the frames, this set is an exceptional custom project piece for an interior designer or collector to cover in the textile or leather of their choice.
